One&Only Resorts in Exclusive Partnership with Shoe Designer Christian Louboutin

One&Only Resorts has entered into a unique partnership with iconic shoe designer Christian Louboutin to create a limited edition of his elegant espadrilles exclusively for the resort group. This is Louboutin’s first ever resort collaboration.

“My initial visit to One&Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives inspired me to create a collection just for One&Only and my recent second stay is where I designed my latest collection. Not only was it truly a privilege for me to stay at such a spectacular resort, it was also an ideal location to be creative with the exotic beauty of the island and the genuine pampering of the staff. I hope my collections for One&Only captured the true essence of these resorts and will remind the wearer of an unforgettable journey,” said Christian Louboutin.

With prices starting at US$375, the espadrilles come in three designs – The Cataribbon, The Tiburon and The Isabelle – and in a wide range of colours. They will be available from June 2008 in the boutiques at One&Only Le Saint Géran, Mauritius; One&Only Ocean Club, The Bahamas; One&Only Palmilla, Mexico; One&Only Royal Mirage, Dubai; and One&Only Reethi Rah, Maldives. There will also be a limited number available at Christian Louboutin’s stores in London and New York.

“Christian Louboutin, his designs and all that they stand for – elegance, fun and glamour – made him the most obvious designer to collaborate with on our summer footwear collection for our guests,” said Chantal Kerzner, Buyer for One&Only Resorts. “Working with Christian and his team has been a fascinating process, and we are so excited about getting his celebrated red soled shoes into our boutiques. I know that our guests will love them.”

One&Only’s collaboration with Christian Louboutin is part of an ongoing relationship that the resort group is cultivating with the world’s top fashion designers. Louboutin’s exclusive espadrilles in One&Only boutiques will join other designer names such as Anya Hindmarch and Matthew Williamson who have created exclusive collections for One&Only, as well as Alice Temperley, who designed a tipi for One&Only Le Saint Géran’s spectacular peninsula setting. Other designer must-haves stocked by One&Only include Tomas Maier, Pucci, and Missoni as well as jewellery from cult London designer Phillipa Holland.
