Recharge at Singapore Airport

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Monday, 8 December 2008

There are many reasons that Changi, the international airport in Singapore, is consistently voted as one of, if not the best airport in the world.

Not only is the airport a pleasure to visit, with impressive shopping, excellent transport links between terminals, multi-lingual and easy to understand signage, and a myriad of other outstanding facilities, but it is also constantly thinking outside the box, looking for ways to make a traveller's time spent at the airport as stress-free, and enjoyable, as possible.

A perfect example of this are the Free Gadget Chargers, which are not only easy to find and use, but also available free of charge to travellers.

There are a total of 10 Free Gadget Charger kiosks located around the airport, with three kiosks each in Terminals 1, 2 and 3, and one kiosk in the Budget Terminal. All kiosks are conveniently located in the Departure / Transit Malls of the terminals, making it easy for travellers to drop-off and pick-up the devices without travelling large distances.

Passengers using electronic gadgets of brands such as Nokia, Motorola, LG, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Ipod, Sony PSP, O2 and Dopod can charge their handphones and gadgets in the kiosks.

Each kiosk has compartments into which users place the gadgets to be charged. Users can then lock their compartment, take the key away and continue shopping or whatever it is they would like to do, while their gadget is safely being charged.

The only thing you have to worry about, is not forgetting your phone!

Changi Airport is served by around 82 scheduled airlines operating more than 4,470 weekly scheduled flights to 189 cities in 60 countries.
