Finnair
is increasing its services to Belgium with a new flight to the Belgian capital
of Brussels from 12 January 2009.
The new flight will increase the number of Finnair's daily services between the two cities to four between Monday and Friday. In addition Finnair
operates two flights between Helsinki and Brussels on Saturdays and three flights on Sundays. Finnair offers seats also on code-share flights
operated by Brussels Airlines between the two cities.
“The new Brussels flight will be especially welcome to business passengers from Brussels to Helsinki,”
said Petteri Kostermaa, Vice President
of Finnair’s Network Strategy and Traffic Planning. “It will be possible to leave for a meeting in Helsinki in the morning and return the same
evening. In addition, the new Brussels flight will offer Finnish customers a new later alternative to travel after a full working day.”
The new flight leaves Helsinki at eight in the evening, except Saturdays. From Brussels the new flight leaves to Helsinki at 7.35 am daily except
Sundays. The flight is operated using Finnair’s Embraer 170 series aircraft. Normally, Airbus A320 aircraft are used on Brussels route.
