Next
year Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts will open its first property in Japan.
The Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo is on track to open March 1, 2009, with 202 guestrooms, two restaurants, a lobby lounge and CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La, the group’s signature spa brand.
Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo
is located in a prime location with stunning views adjacent to Tokyo Station. The hotel will occupy the top 11 floors of the 37-storey, mixed-use Marunouchi Trust Tower Main Building.
On Level 27, guests will find the Shangri-La Ballroom with a standing capacity of 300, as well as conference, banquet and wedding facilities
complete with a multipurpose chapel. The hotel reception, a signature Italian restaurant and the lobby lounge will be on Level 28.
Nadaman, which will aim to be one of the finest and most authentic Japanese restaurants, will be situated on Level 29.
CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La, featuring ancient Chinese and Himalayan healing therapies, will also be located on Level 29. The spa will offer
six treatment rooms, including a couple’s treatment suite. Adjacent to the spa and overlooking the Imperial Palace will be a 20-metre
swimming pool and an exclusive membership health club.
Guestrooms will occupy the upper levels, with a Presidential Suite overlooking the Imperial Palace on Level 36. Shangri-La’s exclusive
Horizon Lounge on Level 37 will offer dedicated concierge, complimentary canapés and beverages, and private meeting space upon
request.
