Hawaiian Airlines is now offering special new fares from Sydney, Melbourne and South-East Queensland to Honolulu, and on to a choice of six mainland US destinations.

Priced from just A$1,610 ex Sydney, plus taxes of approximately A$462, the new “Catch The Wave” fares enable travellers to visit Hawaii and a choice of Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, San Jose, San Diego or Seattle.

From Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, prices start at A$1,760 plus taxes.

“On arrival from Sydney, travellers clear US Customs in Honolulu, which enables them to enter the mainland as domestic passengers, with no further formalities,” said Sherilyn Robinson, Sales and Marketing Manager, Australia, for Hawaiian Airlines. “our Catch The Wave deal enables travellers to enter the US mainland through one gateway and depart from another – for example, fly from Honolulu to Las Vegas, and fly home from San Francisco to Hawaii, then on to Sydney.”

The Catch the Wave fares listed above are Economy Class levels available for travel in the low season, from 1 November to 9 December, 2008 and again from 1-28 February, 2009. From Sydney, shoulder season fares of A$1,745 plus taxes are available for travel from 1 – 31 August, 2008, and again from 16 - 31 January, 2009. From Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast, shoulder season fares start at A$1,895 plus taxes.

Catch The Wave fares must be booked and paid for by 27 June, 2008. Seats are limited at these prices and some conditions apply.

Hawaiian Airlines offers three weekly flights from Sydney to Honolulu, departing every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evening, crossing the international dateline and arriving mid-morning the same day in Honolulu. Onward flights continue to the mainland by mid afternoon.

Members of Hawaiian’s loyalty programme, Hawaiian Miles, and the Virgin Blue loyalty programme, Velocity, can earn or redeem points on all Hawaiian Airlines flights.
