Accor has appointed Evan Lewis
as Vice President Communications - Asia Pacific. Mr Lewis will be based in Accors Asia Pacific corporate office in Singapore and will be responsible for external and internal communications.
He
was appointed to the position after 15 years in senior management positions, including posts as General Manager and operational roles of
major hotels in Australia and in Asia. Mr Lewis re-located to Asia nearly four years ago, when he was appointed Director of Marketing Asia for the group.
He has been involved with brand and hotel launches across the region, as well as major events and promotions.
His appointment comes at a time of rapid growth for Accor throughout Asia, with some 100 hotels in the pipeline in China, India, Thailand,
Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and elsewhere in the coming 2 years.
Accor is also introducing new brands such as Pullman and the boutique label, MGallery, as well as launching the innovative A|Club hotel loyalty
program.
Mr Lewis will work closely with Senior VP Sales & Marketing Asia Pacific, Ray Stone, and Vice President Marketing Asia Pacific, Graham Wilson.
