The Official Merchandise Shop for the Cathay Pacific/Credit Suisse Hong Kong Sevens 2008 celebrated its grand opening
on Monday in a new location at Shop LG8, Jardine House in Central, Hong Kong.
This years line of Official Hong Kong
Rugby Sevens Merchandise is among the largest ever produced with items across a full range of stylish and
sporty gear and accessories for men, women and children. The Official Merchandise has again been designed and manufactured by Hong
Kong Rugby Football Union kit sponsor Kukri Sports.
Among the highlights of this years range is the incorporation of some new colour schemes including chocolate brown paired with sky blue
on select garments. This years range also features more accessory items than ever before for the perfect souvenir of
the exciting Sevens
weekend.
Commenting on the first collection he has designed for the world-famous Hong Kong Sevens, Mr Robert Dickie, Design Manager for Kukri
Sports said, This years line is a good mix of traditional rugby styles with a bit of fun thrown in. There is more sporty stuff, which is great for
beachwear as well. I looked at what was popular last year and made them a bit more sporty and colourful for this years line. I think some
favourites this year will be the blue long-sleeved jersey and the traditional Harlequin (checkered) styles.
Among the most eagerly anticipated items on offer in the Hong Kong Sevens official merchandise range is the new Chinese themed rugby
jersey for men and women in the auspicious Asian colours of black and red. The Official Event Jersey and Polo and the Hong Kong National
Team Jersey are again expected to be among the most popular items with the latter available in mens, womens and childrens sizes in both
National strip (blue) and Alternate strip (red) versions.
The full range of gear is only available for purchase at the Official Merchandise Shop at Jardine House, Central or
online. Selected items from the range are also available at Hong Kong Football Club, Hong Kong Cricket Club, Royal Sporting
House (Park Lane and Times Square). More sales points will be established in the coming months at the Hong Kong International Airport,
Lan Kwai Fong and other venues around town.
