Silversea Cruises
has appointed Andre Nordseth
as vice president of hotel operations. In this position, he is responsible for overseeing the
areas of hotel operations, entertainment, food and beverage, concessionaires and purchasing for the ultra-luxury line. Based in the Fort
Lauderdale office, he reports to Christian
Sauleau, executive vice president of fleet operations.
"Andre is a widely recognised talent in the cruise industry," said Sauleau. "We are delighted to put his leadership, broad knowledge and
expertise to work at Silversea in this vital role. He shares our passion for extraordinary service and hospitality, and I'm confident he will reinforce
our commitment to excellence."
Most recently, Nordseth served as vice president of hotel operations and onboard revenue for Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Prior to his tenure at
Regent, he was director of operations for Blue Lagoon Cruises in the South Pacific. Previously, he worked at Kloster Cruise Ltd., primarily for
Norwegian Cruise Line, where his onboard posts included hotel director and food and beverage manager. He also worked in NCL's corporate
office as manager of training and crew development. Nordseth holds an apprenti chef degree, and a master of sciences degree from Florida
International University.
