Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Friday, 3 October 2008

Destination spa Ananda in the Himalayas and ISTA luxury business and leisure hotels in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Amritsar have joined Preferred Hotels' collection of over 650 hotels and resorts worldwide. Both the Ananda and ISTA brands are owned and managed by IHHR Hospitality Private Limited, founded in 1998.

Within two years of  ISTA Hotels' in the global technology hubs of Bangalore and Hyderabad, both properties have been rated among the Top Business Hotels in Asia by Travel & Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler. ISTA is now poised to launch five more hotels across India in the next three years starting with Amritsar, a leading leisure destination in Punjab.

Ananda in the Himalayas has been rated as the World's No. 1 Destination Spa for the past 3 successive years by Conde Nast Traveller. 'Ananda', which means 'bliss', offers exactly that through its unique combination of spa therapies for the body and mind, spectacular Himalayan locales and proximity to India's spiritual centers along the river Ganges. A holistic approach to wellbeing integrates the ancient Indian philosophies of Ayurveda, Yoga, Meditation and Vedanta, with contemporary international therapies. The ultimate escape from the mundane to the spiritual, Ananda attracts a growing international audience.
