Aqua
Luna, the authentic Chinese junk from the aqua restaurant group in Hong
Kong has extended its popular “LunaJazz” cruise nights throughout May and June.
Originally launched as a trio of exclusive cruises in April,
LunaJazz cruise nights will now take place every Friday evening until June 27th
2008, where from 9:30pm – 11:30pm a sax soloist will be onboard playing a live set of ultra-hip jazz as it sails Hong Kong’s
stunning Victoria Harbour.
As well as enjoying the chilled-ambience, patrons will enjoy two-hours of unlimited drinks including beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks and
Prosecco, plus unique Chinese snacks and canapés from aqua and Hutong – all within the set ticket price of HK$488.
A trip across the world renowned Victoria Harbour by junk is a classic Hong Kong experience and
one of the best ways to truly appreciate the
panoramic 360 degree beauty and diversity of Hong Kong’s incomparable skyline and towering Victoria Peak. Guests can lounge on
luxurious, sunken sofas and cushions on the upper open deck, or sit comfortably at beautifully designed, dark wooden Chinese dining
tables and chairs on the main deck.
The
authentic Chinese junk, aqua luna was meticulously hand built over an 18 month period by a veteran shipbuilder
using the most traditional of Chinese boat building methods – all handcrafted using wood. The result is a beautiful 28-metre traditional red
mast junk which offers its guests 1,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor entertainment space split over two finely crafted wooden decks.
aqua luna’s name, pronounced ‘Cheung Po Tsai’ in Cantonese after the famous Cheung Chau Island pirate who terrorised the waters of the
South China Sea at the turn of the century, adds to the legendary link with the area.
aqua
luna also offers daily 45minute sailings of Victoria Harbour providing guests with a touch of Hong Kong’s history while being enraptured in
intoxicating harbour views.
aqua
luna sailings depart from Pier 1 by the Cultural Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui and 9 Pier, Central. All journeys conclude at Pier 4 in Tsim Sha
Tsui unless otherwise arranged. Afternoon sailings priced at HK$150 and evening sailings priced at
HK$180. Prices are inclusive of
one complimentary alcoholic or non alcoholic beverage.
