Hertz Australia has added the sporty Holden Astra convertible to its fleet, providing an exciting new option for renters. The new Astra is a two-door, four-seat model, with an electrically-operated, fold-away hard top.

It also features leather-faced seats – including heated front seats – plus a six-stack CD player, automatic transmission and cruise control.

The fuel-thrifty Astra also has a 52-litre petrol tank, and the reassurance of electronic stability control and driver, front passenger and front side airbags.

“Renting a car is not just about transportation – it can also be part of the travel adventure,” said Wayne Burgoyne, Director of Sales and Marketing for Hertz Australia. “Our new Holden Astra can be both a stylish coupe and a snappy convertible, for two or four passengers.”

The Holden Astra Convertible is being introduced progressively at Hertz locations in key mainland destinations, including Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Cairns, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne.

In addition, Hertz has also introduced NeverLost portable satellite navigation units, making it easier for any driver to navigate through unfamiliar locations.

The new NeverLost units, available for rent at selected Hertz locations, cost just A$15 per day. They can be used in any Hertz vehicle.
