- Asia Pacific has appointed Brice Borin as General Manager of The Regent Maldives,
a luxury resort currently under development
and scheduled to open in 2009.
Borin takes up the role with over two decades of hospitality industry experience. His most recent position was Hotel Manager at the five-star

some 320 employees. Prior to that, Borin held a similar position at the Anantara resort in the Maldives and was Resident Manager at the Le
Taha’a Private Island & Spa five-star property in French Polynesia. He has also previously worked in hotels in Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.
“The Regent Maldives will be a stunning boutique property when completed in the summer of next year, and Brice will play an integral role in the
pre-opening phase of this hotel with his extensive experience managing luxury hotels in the region. He will also be instrumental in helping to
build the Regent brand across Asia,” said Lyle Lewis, Vice President of Operations, Carlson Hotels Worldwide - Asia Pacific.
Set in the stunning surroundings of the secluded coral island Maalefushi and about 50 minutes by seaplane from the capital city of Male, The
Regent Maldives will have 50 exclusive beach and over-water pavilions and villas. The furnishings will be designed by acclaimed interior
designer Hirsch Bedner Associates, the name behind some of the world’s most prestigious hospitality projects including the Beverly Hills Hotel,
U.S.A and the Fullerton Hotel, Singapore.
The Regent Maldives is one of five Regent hotels and resorts currently being developed in Asia. Other Regent properties to open over the next
three years are The Regent Bangkok and The Regent Phuket Cape Panwa in Thailand, The Regent Manila Bay in the Philippines and The
