Archimedia to provide Home Automation for Villas at Sanctuary Falls in Dubai

Shaikh Holdings, a leading Dubai-based real estate investment and development company, has appointed Archimedia to design and install a custom-built home automation and entertainment system for all 96 resort villas in its prestigious Sanctuary Falls development in Jumeirah Golf Estates.

Archimedia is one of the region’s leading residential systems integration company and this is the first time the company has been contracted to fulfill a home automation project of this depth and magnitude.

The Sanctuary Falls home automation system is perhaps the most advanced, yet simple-to-use system conceived to date for a residential community globally. This custom-built home automation system covers a diverse range of functionality covering six key areas - full lighting automation and climate control, seamless audio and video distribution throughout the home, unique safety and security features, as well as an integrated intercom system and future-ready infrastructure.

The teams have spent over six months to conceptualise and design the ultimate system to provide Sanctuary Falls' residents with an unparalleled digital living experience. It was developed with a daily life and practical perspective in mind, and shows an aspect of how the Sanctuary Falls vision will translate into an enhanced lifestyle experience for homeowners. The approach has been to treat each villa in the community individually and to have home automation solutions customised to suit each home.

“We have used an award-winning Crestron technology solution as the foundation of the system, to provide Sanctuary Falls homeowners with a lifestyle of comfort and convenience. The system we have developed means residents will not need to walk from room to room to adjust their drapery, lighting, room temperature, audio or video components. Sanctuary Falls will be a landmark villa community set amidst lush golf vistas and lakes. The community features a collection of 96 resort-style villas overlooking the Earth golf course designed by Greg Norman. The Earth course was recently announced as the chosen venue for the richest golf tournament in the world, the Dubai World Championship starting in 2009. Offering a selection of varied architectural styles and views, each home in Sanctuary Falls has been meticulously designed to offer a unique and inspired living experience.
