Life Resorts Management Company,
which owns and operates two up-market properties and manages others in Vietnam,
has relaunched the 81-room Blue Ocean Resort in sun-kissed Mui Ne after
a US$1.8 milion renovation. The last 20 rooms of the remodel were completed
earlier this month.
“Blue Ocean’s got one of the best, natural stretches of beach in one of Vietnam’s most popular resort areas,” said Stuart Murphy, Blue
Ocean’s general manager. “As the managing company, we at Life Resorts are instilling a new level of service, style and comfort at a resort
that was already popular with local and international guests and should be to an even greater degree with the upgrades we’ve made to the
product and service.”
Among the many upgrades guests can expect to find are elegant transformations to the bungalow rooms. Several now feature outdoor
bathtubs and showers, balconies fitted with full-length day beds, private plunge pools and
salas, or intimate, open-air relaxation spaces.
Other on-site improvements include new waterfalls and fountains, meticulously manicured landscaping and the expanded Senses
Restaurant & Bar, which boasts a sunken lounge area and two individual dining salas for guests looking for an especially peaceful place to
relax.
“The combination of natural splendor, renovation and international management standards makes for a real sea change at Blue Ocean,”
said Nguyen Thanh Bich, chairman of Bien Xanh Co., the resort’s owner. “Many local resort owners figure they know what an international
audience wants, but that’s not always the case. In our case, we admitted what we didn’t know, and now we aim to profit by that admission.”
Life Resorts is also
stepping up the resort’s modern indulgences with the latest in technological amenities, such as in-room Internet service
and LCD televisions, as well as high-speed WiFi access throughout the property.
”With the competition in Mui Ne getting tougher and more resorts popping up every week, outstanding amenities and top-of-the-line service
are paramount,” added Murphy. “We’re ready for the challenge, and we’re re-opening with Blue Ocean positioned as one of the premier
destinations for international travelers on the south-central coast.”
In the short span of a decade, Mui Ne has gone from a sleepy fishing village to a popular vacation destination, due in large part to the 1996
lunar eclipse. The natural phenomenon led countless tourists to the beachfront in search of clear skies to witness the event. Today, Mui Ne
is a hot bed for wind sport enthusiasts and sun seekers.
