InterContinental Hotels Group has
promoted Simon Stamper to the position of Area General Manager for InterContinental Abu Dhabi and
InterContinental Al Ain.
“Simon has extensive experience in the hospitality industry and is an asset to IHG’s growth in the region,” said John Bamsey, Chief Operating
Officer, InterContinental Hotels Group. “Under his leadership IHG has witnessed fantastic results for InterContinental Abu Dhabi following the
recent renovation and we are confident we will see similar results for InterContinental Al
Ain.”
Previously General Manager at the largest Holiday Inn in EMEA, the 906-room Holiday Inn London Kensington Forum, Stamper has over 25 years
of experience in hotel management.
Stamper has held further General Manager positions at both Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn London Heathrow, as well as managerial roles at
Athenaeum InterContinental Athens and Semiramis InterContinental Cairo.
