Tickets for the highly anticipated ANZ Hong Kong 2008 Bledisloe Cup will be available to Hong Kong and
Macau residents from Monday 28 July.
Interest in the match is extremely high, and tickets are expected to
sell-out very quickly.
The national rugby teams of Australia (Wallabies) and New Zealand (All Blacks) will battle for the Bledisloe Cup at Hong Kong Stadium on
Saturday 1 November. The ANZ Hong Kong 2008 Bledisloe Cup test marks the first time this legendary trophy will be up for grabs outside the two
countries and the first time the two teams have played each other outside of Australia or New Zealand except for at the Rugby World Cup. ANZ is
the title sponsor of this historic test match.
At 10:00am, on Monday 28 July, tickets will go on sale to the public. They will be available through HK Ticketing’s online booking service,
telephone hotline and HK Ticketing outlets:
• Ticket Purchase Hotline: +852 31 288 288
• Online booking: hkticketing.com
To ensure a maximum quantity of tickets is available to Hong Kong residents, the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union (HKRFU) has limited the
ticket purchase to four per person. The entire stadium will be reserved seating. Supporters can choose from and reserve available seats in the
three price categories:
• HK$1,080 (Gold)
• HK$980 (Silver)
• HK$880 (Bronze)
There is also a limited number of
children tickets available, these are priced at HK$380. Children’s tickets are limited, and are only available in the
Adult Bronze seating sections.
HKRFU Executive Director, Mr Allan Payne said, “The ANZ Hong Kong 2008 Bledisloe Cup significantly enhances Hong Kong’s reputation for
hosting top-class sporting events, while reinforcing the city’s status as a leading rugby destination.”
“The demand for tickets from our member clubs and official travel agents, along with the demand for corporate hospitality packages has been
very high, we expect that the public sales will also be strong,” added Payne.
With the addition of the Hong Kong match, the Bledisloe Cup will be decided over four tests in 2008. Australia and New Zealand are scheduled to
meet three times as part of the Tri Nations Series and then contest the fourth and final match in Hong Kong.
The Bledisloe Cup series will kick off at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney on Saturday 26 July.
