Mr Ian Mckie has been appointed General Manager of
the Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur and Vice President, Malaysia of Parkroyal Hotels and
Resorts, a newly created position to strengthen the group’s operations in Malaysia.
A British national, Mr Mckie has 20 years of hospitality experience in Asia, having held senior management positions in China, Hong Kong,
Indonesia and Thailand for the past ten years. He was previously General Manager of the Regal International East Asia Hotel in Shanghai.
Ms. Wee Wei Ling, Executive Director of Parkroyal Hotels and Resorts
said, “Mr Mckie has a solid track record in managing world-class
city and convention hotels and renowned luxury resorts in Asia. His expertise will be vital in propelling the Parkroyal brand forward in
Malaysia.”
Mr Mckie will oversee all aspects of operations and spearhead strategic plans to promote service quality standards and revenue growth at
Parkroyal’s two Malaysia properties.
The
Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur is a 426-room hotel located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, while Parkroyal
Penang is an idyllic resort on the fringe of Batu Ferringhi Beach with 309 rooms.
