International SOS appoints Andrew da Roza as Group General Counsel

International SOS, a leading medical and security assistance company, has appointed Mr. Andrew da Roza as Group General Counsel with immediate effect.

Based in Singapore, Andrew is responsible for legal, corporate secretariat, compliance and risk management of the group’s vast business worldwide.

Andrew has many years of experience in leading legal, government affairs and security departments and developing the framework for effective corporate governance in Asia.

“International SOS has seen rapid growth in its business across the globe, especially in China and the United States. We have been hiring talented individuals to ensure we continue to deliver a stellar performance,” said International SOS’ Chairman and CEO, Arnaud Vaissié. “Andrew brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the company. He will align the company’s corporate governance processes with our business objectives so that we can continue to grow and develop our business effectively.”

Andrew joins International SOS from a multinational in the express and logistics industry, where he spent fifteen years, the last seven years as the head of legal and regulatory affairs for Asia Pacific. His last appointment was in the group legal counsel office where he was the head for legal and regulatory affairs for Asia Pacific.

Andrew received a BA degree in Law from Kent University in the United Kingdom and a Masters degree in Chinese Law and History from London University. He qualified as a solicitor in London and worked with two UK law firms before pursuing his career in Asia. He also has an MBA from HKUST and Kellogg Universities in Hong Kong.
