Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Wednesday, 23 July 2008

At a ceremony held on 18th July at the Macau Jockey Club, Heli Express, one of the world’s largest commercial helicopter operators, received the Macau Prime Award for Service Excellence.

Designed to promote service excellence amongst businesses operating in Macau in a bid to strengthen Macau’s position as a world-class destination, the awards - organised by Prime Communications Ltd - recognised the operator’s high standards of customer service and facilities management.

“I am delighted to accept this award on behalf of the entire Heli Express team,” said Ms. Cheyenne Chan, Chief Executive Officer, Heli Express. “Quality of service is essential to a customer focused business such as ours and I believe that it is testament to the high standards we uphold that passenger demand continues to grow.”

To meet increased passenger demand for travel, Heli Express operates additional flights between Hong Kong and Macau on Fridays, Saturdays and designated holidays.

Heli Express is currently undertaking a significant programme of infrastructure and fleet expansion that will see a dual-pad facility at the Hong Kong heliport and a brand new passenger departure lounge. On schedule to open for operation in early 2009, the new facilities will compliment the arrival of the operator’s six new state of the art Agusta Westland AW139 helicopters, the first delivery of which will be by the end of this year.
