IRIS Software Solutions
has launched its Personal Valet system in Asia. The breakthrough solution offers customer flexibility and control by
providing fast, easy access to information such as the hotels food menus, local attractions, airport information, weather
information, and a track of the guests bill and costs which integrates back into the hotels Property Management System (PMS). The device is an in-room,
handheld, wireless, touch-screen device, designed to improve guests interaction.
According to a
survey conducted by Hotel Technology Magazine, guests demand for more efficient, responsive, and personalised room service in hotels
has driven the need for automated hotel in-room systems.
The survey further noted that deploying such systems not only promises increased customer service, but can drive increased business
from guests. 67% of consumers surveyed also said that they would be more likely to patronize a hotel that offered a self-service option.
Automating common services such as ordering from the room service menu, requesting one more towel or pillow to even checking the
weather saves the human staff for more critical issues the hotel guests would encounter, said Ashley Murdoch, Manager Director, IRIS
Software Solutions. Our solutions put in the customers hands, a highly interactive, wireless device that looks after their requirements in
their own language thus eliminating the possibility of miscommunications happening.
IRIS Software Solutions is taking part in The Food and Hospitality Asia 2008 Exhibition,
one of Asias largest International food and hospitality events, hosted
at the Singapore Expo in Singapore between the 22nd and 25th April.
Additionally, the solution increases personalisation by recording customer preferences and requests and tracking the guests habits and
requirements. The system also allows hotels to concentrate resources on providing
better service by
automating room service and housekeeping requests, so freeing up staff for smarter interactions with guests. The Personal
Valet is also
integrated to the hotels BMS and HVAC, allowing guests complete control over room temperature, light settings, and air-conditioning,
through a single device.
