Singapore Aero Engine Services Private Limited (SAESL)
has signed a $20 million deal with Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT)
covering the repair and overhaul of modules on four Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines from a Middle East operator's fleet.
ADAT provides aircraft support capability for the Airbus A330 aircraft and will perform engine strip, build and test. Under the terms of this
new agreement, engine modules will be removed and sent to SAESL for repair.
The airline's remaining fleet of 12 aircraft are covered by a Rolls-Royce TotalCare long-term services agreement. SAESL is also responsible
for the repair and overhaul of these engines.
Gary Nutter, Chief Executive Officer of SAESL, said, "The services offered by SAESL are complementary to the Rolls-Royce TotalCare
offering and ensure a consistent provision of repair capability. We have a strong focus on relationships and customer satisfaction and this
new contract is evidence of our performance against these targets."
SAESL is a joint venture between SIA Engineering Company, Rolls-Royce and Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited, specialising in the
maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of Rolls-Royce Trent aero engines.
