Marriott, Renaissance and Courtyard Hotels launch Girlfriends’ Getaway Promotion

Marriott, Renaissance and Courtyard hotels around the world have launched a girlfriends’ getaway promotion. A sampling of the girlfriend specials include:

Shop ‘til You Drop with JW Marriott Bangkok: Bangkok’s reputation as a shopping capital is well deserved, given the low prices, high quality and easy VAT refunds. Silks, cotton, ceramics, furniture, antiques, home décor items, lacquer ware, silver, bronze, pewter, jewelry and all types of handicrafts make great souvenirs and gifts, and tailors abound for those made-to-measure items that can be shipped directly to your door.

The JW Marriott Bangkok is a perfect base for retail therapy, located just one and two stops from major shopping centers such as Central Chidlom, the Emporium and Siam Paragon and also accessible via Sky Train to the weekend market at Chatuchak.

The JW Marriott Bangkok’s “Shop ‘til You Drop” package includes breakfast, a 45 minute foot massage for two people at JW’s Health Club and Spa, complimentary suitcase and butler service for packing, shopping guides and discount coupons from Bangkok’s major department stores, daily Sky Train tickets (for two). Package includes deluxe accommodation for two, English breakfast for two, two-hour dance lesson at the hotel, cupcakes waiting on arrival, a DVD to get you in the mood for dancing, and two "Strictly Cocktails" in the CC Bar. Package price is £285 per room for one night; available Friday - Sunday nights, with dance lessons available on Saturday and Sundays only. Package offered through August 2009 and bookings must be made at least 14 days prior to arrival.

Girl’s Escape Package at San Juan Marriott: The package, valid through April 2009 (based on availability), includes VIP transfers to and from the airport, a one-hour Cosmos’s Happy Hour at the Lobby Bar, Ocean Fresh Facial for two, two $25 Plaza Las Americas gift cards per stay, ice cream party and in-room chick flick, complimentary blackjack lesson at the Stellaris Casino, complimentary San Juan city tour for two and upgraded bathroom amenities upon arrival. Package priced from $470-$680 per room per night, based on double occupancy, with a minimum stay of three nights.

Girlfriend’s Golf and Spa Getaway at JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes: In addition to the 18-hole Greg Norman-designed championship golf course with multiple sets of tees, The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at Grande Lakes has LPGA and PGA professionals on staff as well as female caddies. Fun & Spa Girlfriend Package at Marriott Executive Apartments Dubai Creek: The package, valid April 1-31, 2009, includes one-bedroom suite for two persons, flowers and chocolates upon arrival and a choice of the following: aromatherapy massage for 50 minutes, aromatherapy sensitive relaxing facial for 60 minutes or the chocolicious body scrub for 45 minutes. Package is priced at AED1460 for two persons per night, is available seven days a week and is subject to room availability.
