Thai Airways Internationals Ground Customer Services Department has been officially awarded ISO 14001 certification for its
work to help protect the environment.
The ISO 14001 standard
has been applied to THAIs environmental policy, which determines the impact of the companys products, activities and services on the environment.
THAI employs such management techniques to systematically reduce the impact on the environment of its operations under the airlines control.
The companys office supplies management and staff are all encouraged to preserve energy, including employing energy substitution techniques
where possible.
The ISO 14001 standard has been implemented as part of THAIs environmental policy since 2000. The company has also received ISO 14001
certification for other departments such as Head Office, Laksi Office, Lanluang Office, the Technical Department and Operation Centre and the
Ground Customer Services Department.
