Hertz UAE has expanded its network of car rental branches and marked 15 years in Dubai, with the opening of a new location in Dubai
Festival City.
The new branch is located within the mall next to Japengo Café, Crab Tree & Evelyn and Hiedard Coffee Shop and is also close to the new
InterContinental and Crowne Plaza hotels at Festival City.
Customers visiting the new branch can choose from the latest models of a wide range of vehicles from saloon cars to luxury cars and four
wheel drives and to celebrate the opening of Hertz’s newest location, the company is offering a 10% discount on monthly rentals for
a selected group of cars. This offer is available for a limited time for customer visiting
the Dubai Festival City counter.
All Hertz vehicles are fully insured and undergo a 40-point quality check-up prior to handover. Customers can also rely on Hertz’ 24-hour
back up service breakdown cover, including replacement vehicles, full maintenance and repairs, and round-the-clock roadside assistance.
The opening of the Dubai Festival City branch is the first phase of Hertz UAE’s expansion plans, worth AED60 million with three more new
branches and two mega-sites set to open in 2008, including a location in Dubai Investment Park, next to the new Al Maktoum International
Airport.
The latest branch opening means that Hertz UAE, part of the Al-Futtaim Group of companies, now has 14 locations across the
UAE, including branches in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah and is looking to introduce a branch in Al Ain as well.
Hertz is also expanding its fleet of vehicles, which is expected to grow to 8,500 vehicles this year compared with 6,500 in 2007. Several new
models have been added to the fleet including the 2008 Honda Accord, 2008 Toyota Landcruiser and the Toyota FJ Cruiser, with further
plans to add the Honda MRV and the Honda City later this year.
Nigel Johnson, the recently appointed new General Manager of Hertz, UAE
said, “Hertz is expanding rapidly here in the UAE in line with
growth across all sectors of this country. We are very excited to open a branch at Dubai Festival City, one of Dubai’s newest attractions and
we are dedicated to maintaining high quality service for both new and returning customers.”
