The
Sheraton Hanoi has appointed Matthew Everson as its new General Manager.
For 25 years Matthew Everson has been involved in the Hospitality Industry, commencing his career in Food & Beverage. Since that
time, he has proceeded through varied roles including Sales & Marketing, Rooms Division & Human Resource Management.
He studied at the City and Guilds of London Institute and Massey University.
Matthew has held senior positions with Starwood Hotels & Resorts
in Australia and New Zealand, most recently as General Manager of the multi award winning Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas Resort in Queensland
Australia.
“Vietnam is one of the fastest growing markets in Asia and I am excited to be in Hanoi to be part of this growth. I am looking forward to
discovering why Vietnam is now one of the most talked about destinations in
Asia,” said Mr Everson.
The Sheraton Hanoi Hotel
opened in March 2004, and offers 299 spacious guestrooms and suites featuring traditional
style decor, with a local Vietnamese and French colonial influence. The
hotel also boasts 1380 square meters of meeting space.
