Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Monday, 17 March 2008

Air Tahiti Nui has launched a range of bargain stopover packages, priced from just A$99 per night at prime Tahitian properties.

The 2008 Tahiti Tiare packages are available to passengers travelling from Australia to destinations including Los Angeles, New York and Paris, and wanting to break their long journey with a restful Paradise stay.

"Where better to break a long flight but in romantic Tahiti," said Craig Lee, Regional Director Australia of Air Tahiti Nui. "Our stopover packages offer passengers the opportunity to unwind in one of the world's most exotic and desirable destinations."

"The hotels and resorts that we offer through our Tahiti Tiare Stopover packages include some of the world's best-known accommodation brands, and most relaxing activities - from a soothing spa treatment to delicious gourmet dining," Lee added.

These packages are available at seven acclaimed Tahitian hotels, starting from a nightly rate of just $99 per person, twin-share at the Sofitel Tahiti Resort and the Sheraton Hotel Tahiti.

The InterContinental Resort Tahiti and Le Meridien Tahiti are priced from $104 per person, per night, the Radisson Plaza Resort Tahiti is offering $115 per night, the Moorea Pearl Resort and Spa is $120 per night for a garden or family room and the highly sought after InterContinental Resort and Spa Moorea is only $134 for a Lanai room.

The stopover packages are based on twin-share rates for a maximum four night stay. Local city tax is not included, and varies according to destination.

These packages are available until 31 December 2008 and can only be purchased with an Air Tahiti Nui ticket originating in Australia to a destination beyond French Polynesia.
