Mandarin Oriental, New York has launched a Fantastic New York City Waterfalls Package for vacationers traveling to the Big Apple to view
the limited-time spectacular New York City Waterfalls. Not since Central Parks 2005 Christos Gates installation has New York City featured such
an expansive public art exhibit.
Commissioned by the citys Public Art Fund, the New York City Waterfalls
lasts until 13 October 2008, allowing travelers
from around the globe ample time to see the massive waterfalls. Its a chance for the Public Art Fund to bring art to the city, to make the city
exciting for the people that live here who take great pride in the fact that we are creative,
said New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg in a

Legendary Danish artist Olafur Eliasson celebrates the revitalization of New York Citys waterfronts with this spectacular installation, designed to
capture the unusual relationship between metropolitan landscape and raw beauty. Constructed out of traditional building materials, four massive
waterfalls - one each under the famed Brooklyn Bridge, at Brooklyns Piers 4 and 5, Pier 35 in Manhattan and on Governors Island
- will
captivate visitors attention with their powerful cascades of falling water.
The
Fantastic Waterfalls Package rates range from US$ 2,200++ for a Premier Hudson River View Room; to
US$ 2,450++ for a Central Park View Room. A Corner Hudson River View Room with connecting Superior Room
is US$ 3,350++ per night while the Mandarin Executive Suites are
priced at US$ 3,550++. Central Park View Suites are available at USD
4,150++.
