KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has appointed Ton Dortmans (50) to be Senior Vice President Operations at Engineering & Maintenance (E&M),
effective November 15, 2008.
Mr
Dortmans succeeds Peter de Swert (57), who was recently appointed Executive Vice President - Engineering
& Maintenance. In his new role Dortmans will be responsible for steering the operational departments at E&M. He will also be De Swert’s deputy.
Ton Dortmans is currently Senior Vice President Operations Control and will be replaced by Miriam Kartman (43), who is now Vice President
Industrial Relations & Strategic Human Resources. Kartman’s new position will give her responsibility for Operations Control Center and control
over the KLM operation.
The date of Miriam Kartman’s transfer to Operations Control and her successor
has not yet been confirmed by KLM.
