Jean Francois Debon has been appointed to the position of pre-opening general manager of Six Senses Latitude Laamu in the Maldives. He will
report directly to the managing director of the Maldives and is responsible for pre-opening the first Six Senses
Latitude in the Maldives.
Scheduled to open in mid 2009, Six Senses Latitude Laamu will bring the total number of resorts managed by Six Senses in the Maldives to
three, the other being Soneva Fushi and Soneva Gili.
Jean Francois grew up in France and
has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including almost 20 years as a
general manager throughout the South Pacific, the USA and Australasia.
Prior to joining Six Senses he was general manager of Iririki Island
Resort & Spa in Vanuatu. Previously he was general manager of NC Hotels & Resorts, New Caledonia – a property formerly managed by
Parkroyal/Intercontinental Hotels Group, after having been director of sales and marketing for three Starwood Hotels & Resorts properties in
French Polynesia.
