Jules A.
Sieburgh,
CHTP, has been appointed global president of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals
(HFTP). He is a hospitality consultant with O’Neal Consultants in Bethesda, Md.
Sieburgh is active in HFTP’s
Guestroom 20X (formerly Guestroom 2010), serving as the chief technology consultant and integrator for the
exhibit, which showcases new and upcoming technologies for hotel rooms. Version 3.0 of the exhibit debuted in June at the Hospitality Industry
Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC) in Austin, Texas.
Sieburgh has been a member of HFTP for over 20 years, currently serving on the HITEC, EHTEC and ProLinks Education Advisory Councils. He
frequently speaks at conferences like HITEC, HFTP Annual Convention & Tradeshow and the upcoming 2008 BAHA Finance and IT
Professionals Conference and Exhibition. He is also the 1998 inductee to the HFTP International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame.
Terry L. Price
CHAE, CHTP, CPA has been appointed as global vice president of HFTP. Price is the
executive IT manager at The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa in Asheville, N.C.
Price is a frequent speaker at HFTP educational conferences, presenting his popular "I.T. Boot Camp" session. While serving as the ProLinks
committee chair, he helped develop HFTP's ProLinks online communities, which provides online topic-based discussions, as well as education
sessions.
Price currently serves on the Education and HITEC Advisory Councils. He has previously served as a director on the HFTP board, as well as on
the Web Content Advisory Council. In addition, Price is a contributor to HFTP's The Bottomline magazine.
Thomas G.
Smith,
CHAE, has been appointed as global treasurer of HFTP. Smith is chief financial officer
for the Ozaukee Country Club in Mequon, Wis.
Smith has been a member of HFTP since 1989 and currently serves on the Education and Certification Advisory Councils. He is also a member
of an HFTP task force of club financial experts which assisted with Understanding Club Finances published by CMAA’s Premier Club Services.
He has previously served on the HFTP Global Board of Directors, ProLinks Education and Leadership Academy Advisory Councils, as well as
the Club Committee. Smith is an active member of the HFTP Greater Milwaukee Chapter and has served as its president twice.
Barry
Robertson, CHAE, CHA,
FBAHA, has been named global secretary. He is a hospitality and gaming consultant, taking his
hospitality career to seven countries in Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and North America.
Robertson has been involved with HFTP for many years, and in 1991, he was honored with the Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive
(CHAE) of the Year Award, a recognition attributed to the individual who scored the highest on the certification exam in a given year.
He has also served on the HFTP Global Board of Directors, along with the ProLinks Education and Education Advisory Councils.
Anna
McFarland, CPA,
CFE, CHAE, CHTP, has been appointed as the global immediate past president of
HFTP. McFarland is vice president of finance and management reporting for Sofitel Luxury Hotels North America.
McFarland has served as chair of the Appeals Committee, Certification Advisory Task Force Membership and Leadership Academy Committees
and Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE) Advisory Council. She has also served as a member of the Certification, Leadership
Academy and HITEC Advisory Councils.
She is a frequent speaker at HFTP professional development seminars and chapter meetings, as well as a contributor to HFTP's The Bottomline
magazine. She is an active member of the HFTP North Texas Chapter and has served as the chapter’s president.
