American Airlines is now offering double AAdvantage miles for passengers who purchase qualifying First Class, Business Class or Economy Class fares for travel between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and London’s Stansted and Heathrow airports.
The offer applies to trips booked between
before June 30, 2008, for travel completed between May 16, 2008, and June 30, 2008. To
participate in this offer, register prior to travel using promotion code NYL08
on American Airline's website.
“We are happy to extend this AAdvantage bonus offer to our present customers who fly from JFK to both Stansted and Heathrow and to
new customers, as well,” said Chuck Imhof, Vice President- Sales for Greater New York for American Airlines. “I am delighted that we now
offer customers the option of five daily flights from New York to Heathrow, plus one to Stansted. We began flying JFK-Stansted last October
28 in response to demand from our corporate customers.”
As
part of the Open Skies agreement between the United States and the
European Union, American is focusing its U.S.-London flights on Stansted
and Heathrow airports. Stansted is a favored airport for travelers whose
business takes them to the Canary Warf or City financial districts of
London – or for leisure travelers who want to enjoy the attractions of
trendy East London or the delights of Cambridge and the nearby
countryside.
American currently operates 18 daily flights from the United States to London’s Heathrow airport, 5 of which depart
from JFK, and the others from Boston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, and Raleigh/Durham.
