AsiaWorld-Expo,
one of Asia’s leading exhibition and events venues, recently appointed
Trevor Lui as Corporate Development Director and Monique Yeung as Head
of Business Development.
Trevor Lui
has been appointed Corporate Development Director of AsiaWorld-Expo Management Limited. In this critical role, Trevor will be
responsible for the development of business processes at AsiaWorld-Expo, including strategic analysis and planning, and marketing
development.
Trevor, a certified knowledge management (KM) Consultant, has over twenty years’ experience in management and consulting, with a focus
on strategic analysis, planning, business process management, knowledge and quality management, customer management, and
marketing and business development.
During his career, Trevor spent almost 10 years with the Hong Kong Productivity Council. In his most recent role as Senior Consultant, he
provided strategic advice, helped develop marketing strategies, managed various projects for public organisations, private companies and
MNCs, as well as played a liaison role with both the media and business communities. Notably, he was a key figure in the process of
developing a strategic direction for Asian Benchmarking Clearinghouse. He was also invited by the Faculty of Education at Hong Kong
University to be one of the programme advisors for the Information Management B.A.
programme.
Monique
Yeung
joined the company as Head of Business Development in the Corporate Development Department. In this role, Monique is primarily responsible for overseeing the
AsiaWorld-Expo business development team, broadening the company’s business development portfolio, and exploring new business
opportunities.
Monique has been in the Meeting Incentive Convention and Exhibition (MICE) industry for a number of years, and has a strong
understanding of the market. In her career, she has worked for the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Hong Kong Tourism Board,
and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
During her time at the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Monique managed the welcoming projects for a wide range of world-class events
including American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) World Travel Congress, OSEAL Forum, and PATA Travel Mart. She also collaborated
with trade partners to form co-opt marketing campaigns and helped promote Hong Kong as the "Events Capital of
Asia".
