The
Mandarin Oriental, Sanya is aiming to set new standards of elegance and comfort when it opens for business in the second half of 2008, with 297
tastefully decorated guest rooms comprising deluxe rooms, suites, villas and pavilion – each with expansive views over the South China
Sea.
Many of the larger-than-average size rooms (starting at 52 sq m) feature private gardens with timber decks and direct access to
the beach.
Luxurious high thread count cotton bed linen by Ploh is used in all suites and villas, complemented by fabrics and décor featuring
traditional tribal patterns indigenous to Hainan. The rooms also have Mandarin Oriental’s signature technology, with complete entertainment
systems, stylish espresso machines, hi-speed wireless internet access, surround-sound systems, plasma TV and digital music player
docking stations.
Room categories include Terrace rooms, Ocean View rooms and Deluxe Ocean View rooms, each of which has spacious and private
terraces or balconies.
The decadent Pavilion room category features Ocean Breeze pavilions and Pool pavilions. Tastefully adorned with artwork inspired by
Sanya’s native cultures, the spacious 52 sqm Ocean Front pavilions also have a large private outdoor area which is few steps away from
the beach. Outdoor plunge pools, patios and a gazebo complete the luxurious experience.
The 18 well-appointed suites are decadently spacious, with separate living, dining and pantry areas, a walk-in wardrobe and an oversized
terrace or balcony.
In addition, 15 elegant 150 sqm private villas have their own private deck areas, private outdoor lap pools, gardens and relaxation gazebos
to guarantee complete seclusion and privacy. Four of them are equipped with a luxury private ‘spa suite’ for in-villa spa experiences, while
the other eleven have an additional twin bedroom. Deluxe pool villas featuring a large deck area and lush gardens are perfect for private
functions and celebrations.
Villa and suite guests
will also be able to enjoy exclusive access to The Cliff, an exclusive lounge with al fresco cocktails and all-day dining
experience, serving complimentary breakfast brunch, afternoon tea, snacks and cocktails.
The super luxurious Presidential Suite, which covers an area of 3,328 sqm has double-height ceilings, private gardens and four master
suites, as well as a fully equipped gym and an outdoor pool measuring 25 x 6 m. The oversized deck is perfect for al fresco dining or a
cocktail party under the stars. And of course, butlers and attendants are on hand to provide the ultimate in personalized service.
The
Mandarin Oriental, Sanya will be the first hotel managed by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group to open in China. Located on a private
12 hectare beachfront site named Coral Bay, Mandarin Oriental, Sanya will offer a wide range of facilities and services for
travellers in
search of serenity and tranquility in the beautiful surroundings of this proclaimed ‘Forever Tropical Paradise’.
