The early registration deadline for
Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals’ (HFTP) 2008 Annual Convention & Tradeshow is quickly
approaching. Delegates must register by August 27 to benefit from the Attendee Early Registration Discount and save up to
US$50 on the registration fee. The convention includes targeted education sessions, numerous networking opportunities and access to leading suppliers at
the tradeshow. It is scheduled for September 24-27 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.
The Annual Convention & Tradeshow offers an
education conference with presentations by experts representing all segments of
the hospitality industry. The three general sessions uncover numerous methods to improve the work environment, while the five concurrent
education session tracks — club, hotel, general, technology and leadership unlimited — allow attendees to discuss hot industry topics and learn
how to continually build their careers. A total of 20 CPE points may be earned for participation in the entire convention.
"Each year I look forward to attending the Annual Convention & Tradeshow. There are terrific education choices and wonderful networking,"
said Jeanette Fredrickson, CHAE, administrative manager for the Oconomowoc Golf Club, 2007 Annual Convention attendee. "I always bring
something back to the table that enriches our club."
The evenings of the convention provide various opportunities for attendees to interact with colleagues and vendors. Wednesday night's
Welcome Reception and Exhibits includes cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, networking and the first chance to visit the exhibit hall. Thursday night is a
special event at the famous Wildhorse Saloon, one of Nashville's most
popular dining and entertainment destinations. The last night of the convention is
the President's Evening, a black-tie optional event with dinner and dancing.
The tradeshow features exhibitors representing a variety of hospitality products and services. There are dedicated tradeshow hours and an
added opportunity to earn CPE credits by attending exhibitor tutorials.
