The
Radisson Resort Fiji Denarau Island has been awarded a Green STAR Accreditation by AAA Tourism. The Green
STAR is an additional endorsement to the resorts current five STAR rating and provides special recognition to the resorts environmentally
responsible business practices.
To be awarded a Green STAR, Radisson Resort Fiji Denarau Island had to excel against a set of practical environmental criteria including;
energy efficiency, waste management and water minimisation.
Justin Phillips, General Manager of the Radisson Resort Fiji Denarau Island,
said, This accreditation gives us special recognition and
demonstrates to our customers that we are socially responsible and committed to reducing the environmental impacts of our business.
Green STAR Accreditation is tailored specifically for the accommodation industry. The
standards used were developed by AAA Tourism in
partnership with Green Globe the internationally recognised performance improvement program for the tourism industry.
