On 13 September 2008, The
Caravelle
Hotel in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, will be organizing “Songs for hearts”, a gala evening for charity. All money raised from the event will be
donated to East Meets West Foundation in order to do heart operation for disadvantaged children.
The charity dinner program includes the performance of the Hong Kong Welsh Male Voice Choir, comprised of 45 members, who will be flying
into Ho Chi Minh City at their own expense. The Welsh Choir will perform their
repertoire with popular Welsh folk songs for the evening while the
hotel's resident band and some famous Vietnamese singers contribute with their special performances. Caravelle also intends to hold
a raffle and sell raffle tickets to raise more money for this charity.
The management and staff of Caravelle Hotel will be providing the venue and full service for the event as well as accommodation for the choir so
that all money collected from ticket selling will be donated directly to East Meets West Foundation. Ticket prices
are VND1,200,000 or US$75.
