InterContinental Hotels Group
has appointed Mr. Tom Lord to manage the Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival
City.
Tom
has over 12 years hospitality experience, with the last five years working in senior management roles for
IHG. He has a degree in International Hospitality Management.
Toms previous role between October 2007 and his current appointment
was as Project Director of IHG Global Head Office Move. This saw him carry out the design, fit out, move and communication of the relocation of IHGs
head office to Broadwater Park, Denham.
Prior to this, Toms IHG experience had been mostly
operational, as General Manager of the 158 room Holiday Inn London Brent Cross between January and October 2007, Operations Manager of Holiday Inn London Bloomsbury from November 2005 to
January 2007 and Operations Manager of Holiday Inn London Sutton from April 2004 to November 2005.
Toms varied hospitality experience and high profile project completion have lead up to his appointment as Hotel Manager for the 316 room
Crowne Plaza hotel at the heart of the mixed-use development, Dubai Festival City, the worlds first smoke free Crowne Plaza.
