Luxury serviced accommodation brand Pan Pacific Serviced Suites is to establish its first property in Bangkok and the second in the Asia Pacific region, after a successful inaugural launch of its flagship property in Singapore in April this year. Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok is slated to open in 2009.

“We are pleased to partner with Pacific Star to establish Pan Pacific Serviced Suites in Bangkok. The signing of the Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok demonstrates our promise to grow the Pan Pacific Serviced Suites brand in the Asia Pacific region. This extended stay property will complement our Pan Pacific hotel offering in Bangkok allowing guests a choice of accommodations catered to their specific needs and at the same time, continue to enjoy the renowned Pan Pacific’s quality service and warm hospitality,” said A. Patrick Imbardelli, President & CEO of Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts.

The eight-storey Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok is owned by the EUR1.2 billion Asian Real Estate Income Fund (a Pacific Star fund that invests in prime commercial and residential real estate in gateway Asian cities) and will be managed by Pan Pacific Hospitality Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of UOL Group.

Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok is part of Eight Thonglor, a 72,693 square metres mixed-use development that also includes a 34-storey apartment tower named Eight Thonglor Residences and a shopping centre spread over three levels offering an interesting mix of food and beverage outlets and a gourmet supermarket. Eight Thonglor is owned and managed by the Pacific Star Group.

Commenting on the tie-up, Pritpal Singh Gill, Country Manager for Pacific Star Thailand said, “Thonglor has in the last few years built a reputation as the pre-eminent place to be seen in Bangkok with many hip restaurants, pubs and shopping centres. We believe the niche that Thonglor has built for itself will continue to attract young professionals to the area.”

Nestled between Sukhumvit Soi 55 and Petchaburi Road, two bustling areas in the heart of Bangkok with upmarket malls and trendy nightspots, Pan Pacific Serviced Suites will offer an ideal location for overseas executives with the added benefit of easy accessibility to the downtown business district via the new metro system.

Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok will offer a total of 148 Suites comprising 27 Executive Suites, 74 One-Bedroom Suites and 47 Two-Bedroom Suites. Each stylishly designed suite will feature premium branded amenities and high speed internet access. Residents will be able to keep to their exercise regime at the state-of-the-art fitness centre, refresh themselves in the swimming pool or unwind in the Living Room or the Pacific Lounge for leisure.

Residents of Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Bangkok will have PAs to help them to ease into living in Bangkok. Trained to provide attentive and personalised service fit for royalty, these PAs are available round the clock to attend to business, social and personal needs.

They will also offer local connections and access to business events and networks, exclusive social events as well as facilitating gatherings for like-minded people.
