Laguna Phuket Concludes 5-Country Roadshow

The Laguna Phuket concluded a five-country roadshow with a showcase event at Pier 59, Banyan Tree Bangkok on Thursday 10 July 2008. Many fun activities for guests, souvenirs, prizes and a special appearance by Thai guest celebrity “Umm” Atichart Chumnanon, culminated in a spectacular evening for those attending .

The Bangkok event was another success, in addition to those in Singapore, Hong Kong, New Delhi and Shanghai that took place in May and June 2008. Representatives from all the Laguna Phuket hotels and facilities were on hand to meet with corporate clients, agents and media to introduce new developments at Laguna.

Among these were the upgraded Plunge Pool Villas at the Banyan Tree Phuket and new Dusit Club Rooms at the Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, as well as recently renovated guestrooms at the Sheraton Grande Laguna Phuket, Laguna Beach Resort and Allamanda Laguna Phuket.

New luxury villa products at Laguna Phuket were also introduced at the Bangkok event, starting with the 22 Banyan Tree DoublePool Villas. With sizes ranging between 1300-2200 square metres, these Villas are the epitome of luxury and exclusivity with a private lobby and French-Vietnamese restaurant reserved exclusively for DoublePool Villa guests.

The Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket announced the opening of their 28 Dusit Thani Pool Villas, to take place later this month on 15 July. Also opening this month will be 10 three-bedroom villas and 11 two-bedroom villas at the Laguna Phuket Holiday Residences, in addition to the 17 units launched in December 2007. The two, three and four bedroom villas range from 220, 467 and 604 square metres.

Interactive games and challenges were organized by representatives from the Laguna Phuket Golf Club, Laguna Tours and Quest Laguna Phuket Adventure to provide guests a glimpse of what is available for corporate retreats or events held at Laguna Phuket. Visitors to the Laguna Phuket Golf Club booth were challenged to putt a hole-in-one on a putting green specially created for the event, while guests at the Laguna Tours booth went on a stimulated tour of Phuket and nearby islands, as well as joining a treasure hunt. Guests at the Quest Laguna Phuket Adventure booth participated in an “Amazing Race” competition and received a special treat, getting the opportunity to meet up close and personal with celebrity “Umm” Atichart, as well as taking a souvenir photo with him in front of a rock-climbing wall to take home as a jigsaw puzzle.

Prizes were also given out at the event, consisting of accommodation at the Laguna Phuket hotels, rounds of golf at the Laguna Phuket Golf Club, spa treatments at the Banyan Tree Spa and Angsana Spas and sightseeing and cultural tours operated by Laguna Tours. The grand prize of the evening was a two-nights’ stay in a luxurious Banyan Tree Phuket DoublePool Villa at the Banyan Tree Phuket, return flights from Bangkok to Phuket, spa treatments for two at the Banyan Tree Phuket Spa and a gift voucher from the Banyan Tree Gallery. The winner of the grand prize was Suphatta Chitteerapab from Hassell Thailand.
