The
Hilton Kuala Lumpur has unveiled Level Seven, a new meetings and conventions space
designed specifically to respond to the changing needs of the modern business
traveller.
General Manager, Paul Hutton said Hilton Kuala Lumpur
said, “Providing personalised service where guests’ needs and expectations can be
anticipated and exceeded has always been our team’s philosophy. At Hilton, we
call this creating ‘Hilton moments’ and we have always receive warm feedback
from our guests on these personalised experiences.”
The comforts of home are recreated at Level Seven with a living room and
kitchen concept to allow guest the ultimate relaxation during meeting breaks.
Level Seven’s Living Room is appointed with fashionable and comfortable lounge
seats such as would be found in a chic home and the open and interactive
kitchen means guests can interact with the chef while waiting for fresh canapés.
To create a welcoming and soothing ambience throughout the spaces, Level
Seven utilizes soft natural wood tones contrasted with freshly colored fabrics.
Materials in neutral colors such as mirror, glass and marble are also used to
complement the concept. A key illustration of this concept is reflected in the
three meeting rooms where the ceilings are inlaid with dried branches and leaves and the carpets bear leaf and
branch motifs. All this comes together to give the calming feeling of being in a
conservatory.
On the technology front, the introduction of a unique product innovation, the
switchable glass gives aesthetic and functional flexibility to internal wall
partitions. Wall partitions can take on a clear or opaque appearance where daylight
transmission can be regulated or can become a massive flat-screen with remarkable image clarity – all at the flick of a switch.
To give Hilton Kuala Lumpur a sense of place with localised feel, Malaysiana
elements such as the ‘wayang kulit’ (shadow puppets), ‘gasing’ (spinning top)
and ‘takraw’ ball (rattan ball) were integrated into the design to embrace the
country’s heritage.
With three separate rooms and capacity for a
standing cocktail reception for 180 people, Level Seven is scheduled to
open its doors in September.
