With
protestors still blocking all commercial flights in an out of Suvarnabhumi
International Airport in Bangkok, PBair has temporarily stationed its aircraft,
maintenance crew as well pilots and cabin crew at Hua Hin (HHQ) airport
from today 1 December 2008.
Since the start of the blockade of Suvarnabhumi airport PBair
says it has been contacted by several airlines as well international charter companies to
assist in bringing their passengers to the various destinations.
Both
PBair's aircraft are now available and scheduled for service to ferry stranded
passengers to and from other domestic and regional hubs until the return
of normal PBair scheduled services to the north and north east of Thailand
as well to the city of Danang in Vietnam.
The fleet of PBair consists of two modern Embraer ERJ145LR regional jets with an all economy seat capacity of 50 passengers. The reach of
the aircraft is 1,550 nautical miles, making flights to regional destinations such as Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore
