Layia Hospitality,
a new Dubai-based hotel management company which launched earlier this year, has appointed Freddy Farid as Area Vice President.
In his new role, Farid will be responsible for the operation of all Layia Hospitality properties in the northern part of Dubai
and Sharjah.
Freddy
has a wealth of hotel operations experience. A graduate of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management in Cairo,
Egypt, Farid has worked for a number of world-class hospitality brands, including 18 years with Hilton International in various management
positions in Egypt, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and the USA.
Prior to joining Layia Hospitality, Farid held the role of Area Vice President Abu Dhabi & Al Ain for Rotana Hotels.
Launched in early 2008, Layia Hospitality is creating a world-class collection of
four and five-star hotels, luxury serviced villas and fully
furnished apartments, with its first hotel property set to open in Dubai this summer.
The
company currently has nine properties signed all scheduled to open in the next 18 months. The company is also in advanced
negotiations for six more properties.
