Carlson Hotels
has confirmed plans to develop a new Radisson Hotel in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
The hotel is scheduled to open at the end of 2009. Owned by India’s KAD Housing Pvt. Ltd, the 142-room Radisson Hotel Ghaziabad will join a growing number of
hotels in the Radisson portfolio across India.
“Ghaziabad is a growing commercial centre and has recently witnessed rapid urbanisation, with the addition of new shopping malls,
multiplexes and golf courses. It was also voted by Newsweek International as one of the world's most dynamic cities,” said Martin
Rinck, President and Managing Director, Carlson Hotels Worldwide – Asia Pacific.
“The Radisson Hotel Ghaziabad will be a significant addition to the city's hospitality stock and we anticipate it will draw guests from
throughout the country.”
The new hotel will have a fully-equipped business centre, wireless internet access and a banquet hall with high-tech conferencing facilities
and the latest audio-visual equipment. It will also have a health club, spa and swimming pool, in addition to a bar and a
lounge.
Mr. Digamber Prasad Jain and Mr. Amit Jain, Managing Directors and joint owners of KAD Housing
said, “With its proximity to Delhi
and Noida and excellent road and railway infrastructure, Ghaziabad is seeing an increasing number of domestic inbound travellers. This
strategic partnership with Carlson will deliver a world-class hotel to help meet this growing demand.”
