Travelport GDS, one of the world’s largest
GDS providers, recently opened a new office in Dubai at the Dubai Silicon Oasis, in response to growing
demand for business and consumer travel to the region. The new office is the company’s second regional office located in
Dubai.
Rabih Saab, Travelport GDS’s Vice President for the Middle East and Africa,
said, “The travel market in the Middle East is currently
experiencing a dramatic boom with both corporate and consumer travel figures increasing year on year. To be able to service this
increasing demand it was vital for us to open a new office and we are confident that this investment in the state-of-the-art “Technology
Oasis” will pay off and enable us to continue as the leading GDS player in the Middle East.”
In 2007, Travelport also established a Regional Service Centre in the Middle East and increased the size of its local team with the further
recruitment of two Regional Managers and a Product manager.
The new office at the Dubai Silicon Oasis is located on Al Ain Road, approximately fifteen minutes from the centre of Dubai.
