Thai Airways International
has launched a new promotional campaign - Let Your Dreams Come True with THAI.
The campaign offers 55 year olds and up special fares to encourage them
to fulfill their dream destinations with THAI on popular tourist attractions both in the European and Asian regions.
Mr.Wallop Bhukkanasut, THAI’s Executive Vice President, Commercial Department said, “According
to global tourism market, 200 million out of the 840 million people who travel internationally are over
the age of 60 which two-third of them in Europe. The phenomenon of senior leisure and tourism is
significant reality in today’s world. Where as average growth in international tourism is expected to
be around 4% per year, holiday departures by travelers over 60 are likely to increase by 10% per
year. For Thai tourism market, the growth has annually been increasing in all segments as well as for
travelers aged over 55 years old. While the number of people age 55 and over in Thailand is more
than 10 million persons. This age group accounts for about 20% of the total populations which also
considered as one of the most powerful segments with high purchasing power and constantly
increasing spending on travel related matters. They are physiologically in good condition. Furthermore, without any constraints allow them
more free time to travel. For those who were not able to fulfill their dream while younger, now is the right time to grab their dreams with THAI.”
The
Let Your Dreams Come True with THAI campaign includes The Rhythm of West to England, France, Italy,
Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Russia and South Africa for a single price
of just 26,500 Baht for a roundtrip ticket on economy class. In addition, the Color of East campaign includes Japan, China, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia with prices
starting from 4,500 Baht for a roundtrip ticket on economy class.
For any
tickets purchased in the campaign by September 30th, 2007, passengers will be entitled to
a “Dream Card” which offers a 5% discount for the next ticket
purchased on THAI. Passengers may consume the travel purchased before September 30th,
2007.
