United
Airlines is to increase the number of flights it operates from Hong Kong with the launch of a new daily passenger and cargo flight between
Hong Kong and Los Angeles. The new service will commence on October 29, 2007.
“The Hong Kong – Los Angeles route expands United’s breadth of service from Asia, providing United customers in Hong Kong, Southern
China, Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore with a second gateway in California,” said Mark Schwab, vice president Pacific, United Airlines. “The
Hong Kong - Los Angeles service also creates significant new revenue opportunities for the airline.”
United will operate the Hong Kong – Los Angeles service using a Boeing B747-400 aircraft configured with 14 United
First seats, 73 United Business seats and 260 United Economy seats, including 88 Economy
Plus seats.
