Anders Johannesson appointed General Manager of Radisson Plaza Hotel Tianjin

Carlson Hotels Worldwide - Asia Pacific has appointed Anders Johannesson to the position of general manager, Radisson Plaza Hotel Tianjin.

The hotel, which is Carlsons first hotel in Tianjin, is currently under construction and due to open in September 2007. Centrally located on the corner of main access roads Xinkai Road and New City Expressway and 20 minutes from Tianjin International Airport, the hotel will feature three Plaza Club floors and a Plaza Club executive lounge on the upper levels, as well as large conference and banqueting facilities, a ballroom and full service business centre.

As general manager of the hotel, Anders Johannesson will be responsible for overseeing all pre-opening activities, including staff recruitment and training, as well as all operational, sales and marketing activities once the resort is fully operational.

The 270- room Radisson Plaza Hotel Tianjin will be designed to cater especially for business people travelling to the city of Tianjin, which boasts more than 6,500 industrial enterprises and supports Tianjin Xingang (New Harbour), northern Chinas largest port and Chinas second largest container terminal.

Anders has more than 20 years experience in the hotel industry, including five years with Radisson SAS in Copenhagen, Beijing and Sweden. Anders is fluent in English, Danish and Swedish.
