The
Conrad Hong Kong’s Nicholini’s restaurant, named “The Best Italian Restaurant Abroad” by Italy’s Commissione
Centrale, has re-opened following a two month refurbishment.
Designed by leading hotel designer, Glenn Texeira, Nicholini’s stylish new interior provides the up-market restaurant with an opulent and
sophisticated ambience. The lavish new features include a custom designed chandelier in golden crystalline leaves, gold and taupe trellis
upholstered walls, and rich topaz-coloured floor to ceiling drapes which frame mesmerising views of Hong Kong.
In addition to unveiling Nicholini’s new look, a top new Italian Chef, Sandro Falbo, has also been appointed. Chef Sandro has 15 years
valuable culinary experience working at prestigious Italian restaurants and five-star hotels in Italy, New York, Africa, Middle East and China,
including the internationally acclaimed Bertorellis Restaurant in Covent Garden, London.
Dennis Clarke, Managing Director and General Manager of Conrad Hong Kong, said “We are delighted to unveil Nicholini’s new
sophisticated décor, which complements the restaurant’s long-standing reputation for excellence, and welcome Chef Sandro whose
extensive international culinary experience will further enhance the Nicholini’s dining experience.”
Nicholini’s enhanced menu features a number of innovative new dishes, including healthy options, and the team will remain focused on
delivering exquisite Italian cuisine made from the freshest produce and the finest imported ingredients to ensure absolute authenticity.
Signature dishes include angel hair pasta with Maine lobster, fresh tomatoes and basil, and grilled veal with morel mushrooms and sage
potato sauce.
Nicholini’s refurbishment is part of
the Conrad Hong Kong’s recently completed US$20 million master renovation.
