Contiki Holidays,
a vacation specialist for 18-35 year-olds, is working with Maison de la
France, the French Tourism Board, to offer an exclusive itinerary for the charming cities of Paris and
Strasbourg, targeted at
18-35 year olds.
The seven-day adventure will take travellers
in December from fashionable Paris to enchanting Strasbourg. The itinerary in Paris includes shopping along the chic Champs-Élysées, sightseeing of the enigmatic Cathédrale de Notre Dame, the
grandeur of the Château de Versailles, and of course, the incomparable architectural phenomenon that is the Tour Eiffel.
After amazing Paris, the tour will take travellers east towards
Strasbourg, France’s Christmas wonderland near the border of
Switzerland and Germany. Strasbourg (known as the ‘City of the Roads’) is the Alsatian capital, a pioneer in environmental protection and a
fairytale city of cozy half-timbered houses, cobblestone streets and tantalising bakeries. It is a city on the cutting edge of modernity that
still manages to retain a sense of nostalgia.
The city comes alive in December when it puts on one of the largest and most spectacular Christmas markets in all of Europe, the
Christkindlesmärik.
Widely famed since 1570, storefronts overflow with colourful decorations, Christmas carols echo through the city as the smell of hot spiced
cider, fresh gingerbread and waffles fill the air. As night falls, the city comes aglow in dazzling display of lights.
"Maison de la France is pleased to partner with Contiki Holidays to promote this exciting travel offer. France is the ultimate rendez-vous
destination for young people as it offers endless fun, adventure and
romance," said Frédéric Meyer, Director of Maison de la France South
East Asia.
The tour runs from on 15 to 21 December with both arrivals and departures in and from Paris. However, there is only a single departure and
seats are limited. Tour prices start from just US$899 per person (excluding air passage).
