interTouch,
a provider of broadband connectivity services and technology solutions for the hospitality industry,
has launched iBIS 7.1, the latest version of the company’s proprietary software for
hotels.
The new version iBIS (integrated Billing and Information System)
7.1 is built on the industry-acclaimed iBIS 7.0, a finalist in this
year’s InfoVision Awards in the Asia Pacific region.
“interTouch invests heavily in continuous innovation to develop technologies that cater
to the needs of both hotels and guests. With iBIS 7.1, hotels have access to the most
advanced technology available in the industry to provide business and leisure travellers
with the best Internet experience possible,” said Charles Reed, CEO of
interTouch. “We are confident that the iBIS 7.1 system will outperform the
resounding success of its predecessor.”
A new key benefit for hotels deploying the iBIS 7.1 will be the highly customisable
template designed by interTouch to incorporate the hotel’s brand identity as well as
promote its services and facilities. Moreoever, hotel staff are now able to book and
review MICE requirements online. In addition, hotels will continue to enjoy the highly
stable and robust modular system to support high-traffic Internet activity.
To help hotels benefit fully from the iBIS 7.1, interTouch has in place a round-the-clock
remote network monitoring service and a 24/7 multi-lingual toll-free Helpdesk.
The benefits of the iBIS 7.1 are not only for the hotels themselves but also extend to
users. Hotel guests will find the convenience in connecting to the high-speed
and secure network, with interTouch’s first-time login success rate of 96%. Users
can enjoy a whole range of other interactive features that enables them to enjoy DVOD
services, and there is the option to pay securely with credit cards.
iBIS 7.1’s enhanced pricing flexibility allows guests to choose price plans according to
their personal usage and payment options according to their preferences. For the hotel,
it is also easier to administer special price plans for corporate customers and loyalty
members.
The new system is currently undergoing pilot trials in six hotels in Asia Pacific.
interTouch successfully installed the iBIS 7.1 in its first pilot site, The Saujana Kuala
Lumpur in early July this year. Since then, two Rydges hotels in Australia, Pan Pacific
KLIA in Malaysia and two Hilton hotels in Australia have also been upgraded to the new
system.
